Happy Birthday GIS-Blog.com !

It’s January once again and GIS-Blog.com is celebrating its second birthday!
We would like to thank you for all your visits, views, clicks and comments and we are looking forward to the year 2017 which will bring the following new features:

  • Sentinel-2 Gallery with processed Sentinel-2 scenes: We are working on a Sentinel-2 image showcase gallery where every user is invited to share his or her favourite Sentinel-2 images.
  • New authors! We are currently negotiating with two new authors and looking forward to their first post on GIS-Blog.com. If you are also interested in joining out team, simply write us an email.
  • Twitter-account: We have set up a GIS-Blog.com Twitter account. Follow us to stay up to date with recent developments in the field of remote-sensing and GIS.
  • A lot of new tutorials and post!

Martin was born in Czech Republic and studied at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. He is currently working at GeoVille - an Earth Observation Company based in Austria, specialised in Land Monitoring. His main interests are: Open-source applications like R, (geospatial) statistics and data-management, web-mapping and visualization. He loves travelling, geocaching, photography and sports.
